Jackie Rosenfeld is a playwright, a consultant for audiobook narration, and a Lecturer with the School of Theatre at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Rosenfeld earned a BA in Drama from Angelo State University an MFA in Playwriting from Texas Tech University with her thesis, “keepingabreast: An Original Script.”

Her plays are produced all over the country including a production of her play keepingabreast at the 2012 New York City International Fringe Festival and an upcoming production of a new play at the 2019 Edinburg International Fringe Festival.  Rosenfeld’s works most often give voice to  the marginalized, under represented, and overlooked.

Rosenfeld serves as the Region VI Chair for the National Playwriting Program for The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.

She has taught at Angelo State University, Lubbock Christian University, and Texas Tech University.  Currently she is at Stephen F. Austin State University and Kingwood College where she teaches classes in film, play analysis, dramatic literature, and playwriting.  At SFASU she produces the annual 24 Hour Theatre Festival and serves as sponsor of the department’s improv troup Improv Strikes Back. She directed the School of Theatre’s pilot radio drama production of O. Henry’s Gift of the Magi adapted by Jack Heifner.

From 2013 – 2018 Rosenfeld was the casting director for the audiobook production company BeeAudio Ltd. where the projects she cast went on to win numerous awards including Ear Phones and Audies.   She has worked with narrators and voice actors such as Luci Christian, Joel Richards, Vanessa Johannsson, Julia Whelan, and Johnny Heller.  She is now offering consulting services in this industry.
